Sad day, I lost the YJ

Woke up this morning to the tow truck driver asking for directions to my house to pick up my 93. It was in the garage when the flood hit central WV and I was out of state and wasn't able to save it. Insurance totaled it on sight and allstate's policy won't let me buy it back. Upgraded to a tj already but I'll miss the square headlights.

Water was over the intake for at least 2 days. I was hoping to just have the insurance pay to go through it but they're totaling everything that was touched by water.

Here's pics of the tj when I got it.

You can prevent any rotation issues in the future by taking your iPhone photos and videos with the volume buttons pointing down

That TJ looks pretty nice to me, have fun with it! Sorry about your YJ. And I think the square headlights will stick with their owners forever. Almost every Jeeper I meet says "oh man, your yj is awesome, I had one just like it in highschool, me and my buddies went everywhere in that thing!"

Thanks for the tip.

I couldn't pass up on the TJ. '03, 63,000 miles. No leaks and you could eat off of the engine it's so clean. I can't even find any dirt under the tub.

What'd they give you for it? Maybe you can find it in auction, or a local salvage yard and buy it back?

I fought for 3 weeks and kept working up the ladder until a supervisor called me. Started at $4700 and in the end I got $7100 back. They kept comparing it to rusted junk for sale in this area but mine had no rust on the frame or tub. It was far for show car quality but it was a solid start.

Sadly, like me, you will not get over your YJ, but you will get used to your TJ.

I'm not sure what they're selling for in your area, but sounds to me like you made out great
