Stock axles, SYE...any upgrades other than lift?
If mostly stock then it sounds high...but location does matter.

Sounds high for any YJ.

What part of the country? And what are they asking for similar on Craigslist?

Mostly stock. Rims are after market. Going off a buddy. He sold a similar YJ for 7500 and his 4 wheel drive didn't work. Also just testing waters. Don't really have to sell it.

I personally won't pay over 4k for a YJ. But I did sell my heavily modified 95 YJ in Dallas for 6500. It had custom alcan springs , 4.88's full case lockers. Rear was a 35 spline d44 with Dutchman shafts , super short sye. Custom driveshafts front and rear swing out tire carrier , custom front bumper , full exhaust , 19lb injectors 4.0 Tb, e fan , 5 new 35" tires , snorkel.

Well, if you're not pressed to sell, instead of asking here, the best course of action would be to test the waters on your local craigslist.

In the ad say you don't have to sell and that your price is firm (if that is the case). If you get a bite, great. If not, you know it's probably too high, take the ad down, and keep the jeep.

I guess it's all about area, but I've got $10,000 in my build but would not expect more than $8500 if I were to sell. Around here you would look at maybe $6000 as a high. Not a lot of money to be made in these, it's all about the fun.

I wouldn't pay that much unless it had a lot of upgrades and damn nice. Jeeps are really expensive in california. People were selling them for 5k on craigslist and they were total junk with 250,000 miles. Cracked me up. Took my time and found mine.

1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ lol

I know and understand all what yall guys are saying. I appreciate all comments. Down here in Texas, depending on what part, you can sell to Jeep folks that know. Was just wanting some advice. Thx folks.

You would be looking at about $5K in my neck of the woods and that would be on the high end. I would think $4K - $4.5K would be more reasonable. The pre fuel injection engines tend to scare off a good bit of buyers. Prices vary greatly depending on the area and in your area, $8.5K might be a good price.
