She's Alive

I bought her (1989 YJ) in Oct. Replaced the motor with all new rebuilt creat motor (I6 4.2) Carter 36-32, New pressure plate, fly wheel, Through out bearing ect. Rebuilt Dana 30 4/10 rp (all new bearing, calipers,rotors seals ect. and manual pull lock and a Spartan auto locker.1999 8.8 rear LSD 4/10 all new parts,welded axel tubes ect. SYE and new driveline. SUA RC 4" lift kit. 1995 familly roll bar and tuffy security boxes recessed into the rear fender wells (about 3") Tuffy console customized. Front and rear Smitty built SRC bumpers with tire carrier. Rugged ridge 10.5 winch New windshield frame and glass.Rugged ridge Pocket style 7" flares. 35x12.5x15 tires. New 2 5/8" gauges grafted in where the old one were. I took her down some hills yesturday to help set the compression rings (no top,windshield or hood) and got lots of thumbs up.I was giddy as a little school girl. Everything ran perfect. No shimmys,wobbels or stiff ride. Oil Running 60 psi at 2000rpm and 40 at idle. Today I Monster line and Monday I should be finall assembly. I will post pictures when I figure out how. I know mechanics better then Computors. THANKS TO ALL THE SUPORT ON THE JEEP SITES. THE INFO I GAINED WAS PRICELESS.:thumbsup:

Sounds like one hell of a project. I am looking forward to the pictures. What did the crate motor run you, if you don't mind me asking.

I bought the motor from S&J motors (previosly S&S motors) out of Spokan Washington. Everything bored cleaned and replaced. Long block. Every thing but valve cover , oil pan, Intake/exaust and timing chain cover. $ 1400.00 after my core trade and shipping.
