Hey I just put new shocks in and now Im getting loud thudding from every corner when I go over the smallest bumps. My Haynes said to tighten them at only 45 lbs and that didnt really seem like much, but I did it anyways. Should they be tighter? I know I had to use an impact to get them off but I dont want to over tighten them, any suggestions?

If you can grab them and move them aroung near the mounts then yes, tighten some more. Your manual most likely refers to rubber bushings. Most aftermarket shocks have urethane which are harder than rubber and should be able to be tightened more. Now I am not 100% sure about that, but it makes sense to me. I didn't torque mine, I just tightened until they felt right and no noises.
