Shocks

I have a 2.5 inch lift and half inch shackles I think they measure 5.5 middle of the top hole to middle of the bottom hole so I ordered shocks for a 2.5 inch lift did I go wrong by getting these or should I have gone with like 3.5 or 4 I didn't find 3" shocks

If the shackles measure 5.5" they would be a 3/4" lift shackle. 4" is stock, and shackles give you half of the extended length in lift.

The 3/4" difference isn't going to matter for your shocks. Shocks that are for a lifted vehicle are measured to allow for adequate articulation in the top and bottom of its travel. The spring will stop the axle long before the shock will be fully extended. And the bump stop (if you still have them) will stop it on the up travel before the shock hits the top of its stroke.
