Side decal - stay or go?

Just bought my first Jeep. 1993 6 cylinder. Hated the decals but friends tell me they like the retro look. Any thoughts??

Looks great I think, but it's not my YJ.
Your Jeep, do what makes you ecstatic to drive it everyday.

I am a fan of the retro look, so I would keep them, but it's your jeep, so do whatever pleases you.

Here's the link...JEEP

I also got my "Renegade" stickers from them. They are high quality and very reasonable!

If that was MY jeep, I'd be looking to remove them.

They aren't terrible, just not MY favorite.

Looks like your paint is still pretty nice. Peeling the stickers off may change that. Then again, your jeep. Your decision.

I'd keep them if it were me, they look super retro, I love it.

Actually it'd be pretty awesome if you could take some more pictures and measurements of that decal for me, I kind of want a decal like that on my jeep now.

With luck the paint has faded and when you peel it off there will be a subtle shade difference under the striping.

Keep it, too risky if the difference in paint is very visible. Don't really know till you take it off. Retro look is cool.

I like the no decal look, but its up to you If you want to remove them use a heat gun and it will remove all the glue.

I had that decal on my blue YJ. I removed it because mine was a bit faded. When I removed it there was a difference in the coveted paint but 95% of it matched once polished, and waxed. Once the door are off no one will notice. It's your jeep do what YOU want!

I like that graphic a lot, but like others have already said, it's yours... Our decal was too Barbie for us so it went away. Just a hair dryer, plastic razor blades, goo gone and serious compound polish, Polish and wax did the trick. We did have some ghosting but it's not noticeable at all with white paint. May be a different result on a black tub.

Kinda looks like the blood spatter from that unicorn you ran over last week. I'd say keep it.

Man, I love that. Definitely looks retro and makes your jeep stand out from the billion other black jeeps that are out there. Again, as others have said, it's your jeep but if it were me, I would keep them, throw on a set of Wayfarers, load up on some Bartles & James, slap my Swatch around my wrist, and just do what Frankie says, which is Relax.
