Slow dripping transfer case fluid

I had changed to the transfer case fluid last year and not noticed any kind of leak. While poking around under the jeep last week, I saw a drop of red fluid dripping off one of the bottom case bolts and wiped it off and then sprayed some brake cleaner in the general area and saw another drip appear on the same bottom bolt. Rest of the transfer case looks clean. Got the ratchet out and tried to tighten the bolts, but didn't want to over do it and the bolt with fluid on did not want to torque down, kinda like its stripped out. I put a catch pan and paper towels under the skid plate on the driveway and after a week, the paper towels show maybe a 3" area of the dripping fluid.
Might not be much to worry about right now and wondering how to drain all the fluid to remove that bolt and possibly use RTV to reseal the replace that bolt. Or just throw some cat litter on the driveway and leave it be.

If it's stripped, helicoil would be the fix...
Case would need disassembled, cleaned up, and resealed...

@Gottagofast is correct. You could also try a band-aid fix which would be to drain the fluid, clean the threads in the transfer case with brake cleaner, and clean the threads on the bolt as well. I would adjust the position of the vehicle after the fluid is drained and safely secure it with jack stands so that any residual fluid in the transfer case goes in the opposite direction of the bolts. You want the RTV to come in contact with no fluid if possible while curing. By tilting the vehicle away from the threads that increases the odds a bit once the fluid has been drained. Then get some RTV sealant apply it into the threads and on the bolt, and tighten it up. Don't go crazy torquing it down and let it dry the recommended drying time. Refill and keep your fingers crossed, it may or may not work.

You could also try the yellow Teflon tape for wrapping gas pipes. It is thicker than the white tape and might also work. In fact I'm thinking I would probably try that first. The prep work would be easier imo, and the success rate might be a little higher in this case.

OK. thanks for the responses.
Will try the yellow tape bandaid first and found the Heli coil 10mm.x1.25 fine thread kit at my friendly local hardware store. Had used the Helicoils back years ago when working on my old Triumphs with great results. The helicoil kit was $78.00 but would be a easy repair.

So far so good, replaced one 10mm x1.25 and one wrap of the yellow Teflon tape and no drips.
Did top off a few ounces ATF fluid in the transfer case. thanks again.
The bolt in pic is the original and had a few pieces of what appeared to be aluminum stripped threads before cleaning it.
