Smittybilt Stinger for a 89 Jeep YJ

Just bought the smittybilt stinger bumper for my 89 YJ and I just found out the it's not as easy to install as they said it would be. And advice on grinding down the frame horns?

You can cut it/ grind smooth and have someone weld it to the frame rail below the surface you need clear. It's the same on both sides it holds the two frame rails together at the front. Even if you grind it off and do nothing I don't think it will hurt its welded in 3 places
