Still need t-case drop after 1" MML/BL?

Hey folks,

Going to be installing a 2.5 OME lift kit in a month or so and was thinking about doing a 1"mml/1"bl lift at the same time. Would I still need to have a t-case drop afterwards? T-case drop was installed by the PO. Currently the yj has a 2.5 lift and 32" tire (thinking about going up to 33" one these get worn out). I'll eventually get the SYE stuff done, but probably around when I get to swapping out axles for the 4.10 gears and 8.8 (read as 'not for a while', lol).

Thanks for any help!

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're simply swapping an existing 2.5" lift for another? I see no reason to remove the transfer drop you already have. I don't think a body lift will have any effect on what you have.

If you have a 1" transfer case drop the 1" MML would offset it and it should work fine, i have never done it though.

Cool, I'll give it a shot and see how it works out. Thanks!

Every Jeep is different but when I did the MML and BL in my sons 93 we eliminated the ugly transfer case drop and had no problems. That Jeep has a BDS lift (I think they call it a 3") and would easily fit 33s. We are in the process of doing TJ flares and have been concerned that 33s might look too small actually

Appreciate the input! Hoping that's the case for us as well.

I think what we are gonna do is the OME lift kit first and make sure everything is on the up and up, then we'll do the MML and BL. Can't wait to get rid of that drop!
