Stock tire size?

Hey folks, I've been looking on Craigslist for some tires, because they seem to be cheapest there, and I'm a broke high schooler. I have a 95 Rio Grande, and wanted to know what tires I should be looking for that will fit the stock rim size for my year and model. I'm currently eyeing a full set (5) of 30x9.5x50R15 (I have no clue what that even means...) and wanted to know if they will fit, the wheels are 5 lug on 4.5(still no clue...) the guy is asking $400 obo for all 5 tires and wheels with the spare at 100% and the rest at 30%. What do you think WF?

Way too much money.

30 is the diameter of the outside of the tire in inches.
9.50 is the width of the tread.
R means radial ply tire.
15 is the diameter of the wheel.

Yes, that size will fit.

The bolt pattern is 5 lugs on a 4.5" diameter circle. The CJs were 5 on 5.5". The newer jeeps are 5 on 5"

The next size down is 235/75R15 search that size and you may find more and cheaper. Walmart sells the goodyear wrangler radial in that size for $75-80 each. They were probably the original equipment on your jeep. Good affordable tires

Look on the drivers door rear edge. Should be a sticker listing tire info for your vehicle.

Most likely came with 205, or 215/70 (or 75)R 15 tires.

Depending on what wheel you have, you will have either a 15x6, or 15x7. Most likely it the 15x7. This is the diameter x width

You can run any of these up to 31x10.50-15 safely, but you will rub a little at full lock with the 30s and 31s

I'd pass on those tires. 30% means they are basically done.

I sold a set of 31" tires on stock Wrangler rims in spring of 2014 for that, and they had 90% tread. It took me about a month to sell them too.

I believe they are the tires that came stock from the factory on TJs, but I'm not positive. I will check Wally world this weekend and see what they have for my rims that are 31" tall. I figure I should pass on these, because they are at 30%. Thanks for the help everyone!
