Small head cold chisel and shear them. Use an impact to remove the nut. Hell, just split the castle nut with the cold chisel. It's junk anyways.

I use a pair of dykes on the manufactured side and pry while putting enough pressure to bite int the cotter pin without cutting it. Essentially using the nut to pry with.

Did the pin already break off? If so then I agree just crank that pig off or cut off the nut/shaft will all be new after you get it out.

This is the most common and successful method.

I think it's funny he called the cotter pin stupid. You have to be smarter then the pin to remove it ! LOL ! Try turning the castle nut the right direction slightly, until you release the pressure against the cotter pin. Then pull it out.

Are you replacing the ball joints? Impact the nuts off & replace the joints. No need to get what remains out of the hole. If you are not replacing the joints, impact them off & either punch out or drill what remains in the hole.

Or sell the jeep.
