You looking for the ignition control module or the computer? The ECU (computer) is located under the dash above and behind the radio. The control module is under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

The OP spells it out clearly.

There is no ignition control module on a 94. Just an ECM.

Please be knowledgeable of what you write before responding.

Thanks Chief,
1476 did not take the time to read the OP. Thus he needed to be corrected before this thread went over the cliff of mis-information.

OK, sorry............... . I've only delt with a few YJ's and the couple I have do have the control module. The YJ was from 87 to 95 so I assumed there was. At least I tried responding. Your response was to rag me.

C`mon, over an 8 year production span they one major update. And that was to move to the OBD1 electrical system for 91. Which did include a few mechanical updates.

Used the same family of engine and transmission. Same axles. Same body parts. Same interior parts.

No offense intended. But we all see mis-information that gets snowballed.

The OP was very specific on what he had.

A wrong answer, even one given in good faith, could easily be taken as being true to those whom do not know. I bit it off before it could be snowballed.

While very new to this forum. The overall feel is that of folks who are new to Jeeps or have limited mechanical ability/experience.

That`s fine. This how you learn. But let`s learn the facts. Not hearsay.

yea i checked out your jeep it looks great, its true you never really know who is posting info on a forum but thats true of a lot of places. Most of the Qs around here center around regular maintenance and light modification (lift kits, tires, etc.). Not so much custom fab stuff although there are alot of people here who do that and there is a forum set up for them.
