tail pipe busted a whole in my gas tank or hose knocked loose?

So my muffler needed replacing and my tailpipe has been smacking against my gas tank for a little while and I just went to the shop today to set up a time to take it in and have the muffler and tailpipe replaced. When I got home I smelled gas and went and looked behind my Jeep and gas was dripping rather profusely from the bottom seem in the tank where the tailpipe has been knocking against the tank. Yeah!

So now I guess I have two issues to have addressed when it goes in for the muffler.

UPDATE

I don't actually see a hole or crack... could the tailpipe have knocked the tank around enough to make a hose come loose?

What was your gas gauge at when it stopped leaking out. Whatever level it is at now is the level your leak is, I would drop the tank and start searching

Your skid plate side panel should have kept your pipe from actually hitting the tank. You'll have to drop it to find out the problem.

I believe you are correct. That is what I am seeing it hitting. Not the tank itself. More likely another issue. Thanks!

I dont know..... it just started out of the blue. No idea why. But it is indeed the skid plate panel I see with the "cracked seam" not the tank its self. I hate it when my "mecahnical novice ignorant musician" side is showing. OK.... now to replace the muffler and tail pipe and track down the cause of the gas leak.
