Thank God Summer is finally here!

Top is off and took the first topless ride of the season! What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Only thing better would have been to actually crawl over a rock or two!!

I know what you mean. I hate having to put the top on the ole YJ for those three months every year. I guess I need to cut my grass soon so I'll know where I left my soft top.

I have been topless....

For over a year!

We never had a winter this year.

I'm going to gp play on some Rocks next week in Amarillo, TX for the Palo duro Jeep Jamboee.

It's a 529 mile drive so I'll have to top up for the road trip but as soon as I got to the bottom we will be both Topless & Doorless.

I'll do one better. We haven't had a winter in the 6 years I've lived in Phoenix. I run with my bikini top on 12 months a year. However at times I will put the full doors on if it's real hot or a little chilly, but the backs always open.

Talking I have never owned a vehicle like this

So, I thought this would be a good spot to sing the praises of my YJ, (half doors, soft top). I was gonna put the bikini top on this mornin, but only got as far as zipping the windows out. There was just something about tearing outta town with my mountain bike in the back, amazing. So, i'm drivin through my city, and suddenly I start seein' all these lovely signs of spring. A new Jeep with the peel-back convertible top open, Wranglers in bikini tops, a really neat old CJ with the doors off. In fact, as I write, there's a 30's? 40's? Jeepster acroos the street with the windows out. So cool.
And everyone WAVES!!!! Wow, I've always had distinctive old cars, from VWs, and old Benz, a Chevy Bel-Air, my Honda tuner, I never had that many people wave at me! (Anyone care to comment on the phenomenon of the Jeep Wave?)
Anyway, I know I'm ranting, but this is my first Jeep and everyday is just a little more adventurous these days. I also have a question, I have the rear and side windows out and I kinda like it. Having the backseat covered, rather than the bikini. Will the wind tear up my soft top if I leave it like this? Anybody else do this? Also is there anything special I need to know if I ever want to take to doors off, are they easy to put back on?(Wisconsin weather can be delightfully unpredictable)
I'm all excited and gettin' carried away I'm sure but life is just so much more fun than it was pre-Jeep.

Yes, Summer is creeping in.
This is what we have to look frward to today.
Temps and Humidity:

Max Temp: 104F / 1600D

Min Temp: 77F / 0600D

0600 RH%: 45%

1600 RH%: 30%

And it is only May.

No bueno on the humidity boss. It's been about that hot here in AZ recently, but with only like 10% humidity.

Hi - to answer your question - i use to run alot with the windows out on my jeep - i found that after alot of freeway driving (which i do alot of) my corners were ripping away from the seems where they attached to my body. i have purchased a new Besttop Sailcloth softtop since that happened and haven't traveled that way hardly since. You can purchase a full length bikini top that covers the back seat aswell. if you cant find it on your own let me know and i will look up the link for you.

And yes the doors are very easy to take off and put back on. if you need help figuring it out let me know - its 2 nuts on each door that need to be unscrewed (i'm not even gonna touch that one )
