Tire Selection - SIZE MATTERS!!! :)

Ok....

1995 YJ

Running 245/75R16 using wheel adapters. My understanding is these tires are about 30.5" diameter.

Have a shot at five brand new 255/75R17 tires on five factory alloy wheels. These tires are 32.06" diameter and about 1/2" wider.

YJ has a 4 cylinder and auto trans.

Am I going too far with the 17" wheels/tires???

There is about a 1.5" lift .... and with new leaf springs even a little more.

Go or no go ??????

I think the 17s are only 32" tall. While they will probably fit and look OK, performance will be affected.

Yeah the 255/75 are just 32" with that 1/2" wider in width.

Yeah .... the 4 was a typo.

I am gonna back away from the deal. It's a good deal, just not for my vehicle.
