TJ Guy with a YJ question

What's quickest/cheapest way to get a couple/few inches of lift on a YJ. A shackle/BL combo????

spring over maybe. shackles are cheap but they only give you half of what you pay for, i.e. you buy a 1" lift shackle you only get about 1/2" lift.

not trying to get in an argument, but SOA gives more than a couple inches, and its not always cheap.

sye/ds alone is gonna cost a couple hundred.

shackles will give you a little or add a leafs, depending on what you want to do with it.

how big of tire are you trying to clear and what do you want to do with it?

how 'bout tj flares and some cutting, or maybe get some waggy front springs and mix and match - you'll get some stretch this way too.

Very true, SOA is 5-6 inches and is NOT cheap, done the right way.
Of course, there are routes where you could get by doing it for only a few hundred bucks, but, more than likely you will have trouble coming your way.

A cheap way to gain lift/clearance? Depending on what size tires you want to run try a BL, like already said shackles only give 1/2 of the said size. But, cheapest/better way would be BL and Shackles. If you can get a MML in there also to help with driveline angles.
