took over somebody else's project...

I just took a motor that was already quite dissasembled out of a 90 yj, it was a 4 cyl 5 speed btw, swapped a motor in that had all the accesories on it and tried pugging everything in to the best i could figure out, and now it's turning but it doesnt get a spark, and the fuel pump won't come on, i'm wondering if these things might be related? does anyone no of a wire or relay that could effect both? i'd really rather not drop the tank to check on the fuel pump if i didnt have to...

Thanks again

Jordan

Is it fuel injected? The PCM won't allow fuel or spark if it doesn't detect a signal from the crankshaft position sensor.

You could also check the fuel pump relay to see if the PCM is trying to turn it on. If you aren't getting power to the fuel pump, your problem is somewhere else.

The cps is on the drivers side of the transmission bell housing just above the slave cylinder

Check for power to the fuel pump relay and power to the fuel pump if you have power to the relay try changing the relay first.
