Tummy tuck ideas wanted

I'm planning out an OM617 swap, using the stock AX15 but installing a Dana 300 using a Novak 153 adapter. I'll be using a GM Dana 60 up front, hence the passenger side drop. I've also decided to install a 1" body lift, both to make cleaning mud from the underside easier and so I can do a tummy tuck. The plan is to just weld in the OM617 engine mounts an inch higher, but the transmission mount & skidplate aren't as easy. Given that I can clock the Dana 300 upwards I'll be able to get even more clearance, maybe even make my own flush-mount skidplate. But, would I be better off adding in a crossmember to support the tranny and just have the skidplate provide protection? Or, since the MMLs I've seen don't also raise the transmission, just use a spacer between the transmission & mount, on an aftermarket TT skidplate?

2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 4.0l, 6-speed.

1990 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, work in progress. Mercedes OM617 turbodiesel, intercooler if I can make room, 700R4, NVG241OR, Ford Dana 60 front & GM 14-bolt FF rear, SOA, SRS.
