wanting to spiffy up my interior

Well I sold my newer truck and I'm left with only my 94 yj. Dark interior. I wantig to make the inside I little cleaner. I ordered some peter seat covers and husky liner floor mats. Both black. My dash is in good shape and I already have a nice sound system. Two things I know I need to work on are the hard top and full doors. My hard is white inside and I hate it. Is there anything beyond paint I can do. As far as a carpet kit. And my doors don't have interior panels so I either need to buy or make some. But I want them to look nice. I don't really like the idea of the diomand tred. So any ideas of what I can do with those two issues aswell as any ideas for other way to make the inside nicer?

there is a thread on here or jeepforums where a guy made a carpet kit for the inside of his hardtop.

and door panels are all over ebay and the jeep parts sites like morris 4x4 and quadratech.

the nicest set up i have been in for a yj was a stock 93 sahara. carpet, sound bar, nice door panels, nice seats, window tint, rear defrost and wiper, center console held hte drinks perfectly. it was just nice.

Yea I've been looking for a thread like that. I found one but no pics;(
I do have tint, sound bar, and center Console. I know the things I can fix. Just wandering if there's some extra stuff people have done

You can swap out the dash LEDs like a lot of people do and make them whatever color you want!

Now i saw the TJ post but i was not sure if it also worked on the YJ dash. Do you know what type of led that will fit and how many i need? I was going to get them from superbrightled.com.

I think the website is called superbrightleds.com? Could be wrong and I'm no expert with all that but there's plentyyy of info about it in the site!

SuperBrightLEDs.com WLED194 bulbs in my dash:

Planning on swapping them out for red and yellow in the not too distant future. Blue is cool and all, but I'm kind of color coordinated, and blue doesn't match anything in my Jeep really..

Buy them off amazon much cheaper... look up my last led post... ( I got all 10 for 10 bucks shipped)

To be honest I wouldn't go with blue/red/green... I'd go w/ the bright white instead just looks better... I'll be replacing my blue led's this weekend...

Shrimp - thats just way to flashy for me too.. but your jeep

Honestly I like the clean look interior too... my interior idea is this
Seats = Trailmax II black/grey cloth seats
Console = VDP orginal black denim
All stock everything else just cleaned up

Camo everything white.

Bedliner floor and door interior, and i have toyed with the idea of diamondplate with bedliner sprayed on top (i hate chrome)....

Since you are interested only in interior, how about completely removing your top and doors (It is summer).

Some nice shifter handles (if you drive a 5 speed), Hurst or B&M are decent.

Smitty console, and a lockable security glove box are nice, and if you are the type, paintable....

Ever thought about removing that roll bar padding? it looks alot better, and you can even paint that too!

^ agreed, clean and simple.
I prefer no neon bright colors (bright white gauges are ok) and a clean, simple but "well thought out" custom look

It's not that I'm interested only in the interior. Just that I've spent a lit on the out side and figured is work on the inside. I do remove the hard top but only on the weekends bc of work and weather. I do need a new console ill look in to that. Aslong as it comes black ill be happy. I thank ill hold on to my roll bar padding mainly bc it holds my speaker wires

I hear alot of people say that but thats not what my intentions were when painting. I like the color cordination, and your right to each his own and thats how every jeeper should be.

I also have done some LED floor lighting:

They're just 5 Piranha LED's from SuperBrightLEDs.com, 4 red, one yellow, that I wired together then glued together and stuck them underneath on some brackets. It's the ghetto way, they work well, eventually I'll replace them for something more permanent.

I have plans to also add some Yellow accent lights under the door frame to illuminate the floor a bit better. You might say I'm a big crazy over LED lights

How did you get those speakers in your half doors" is that a Mod or did they come factory like that? Im assuming they just have a quick disconnect plug?

There was holes already cut in, so I just made them a bit bigger and put the 6x9's in. They are hard wired, I will never remove my doors. Don't have any need whatsoever. And when i do replace the door panels in favor of 4x6 speakers in the dash, my doors still won't come off.

I like my arm rest WAYY too much

I think you will enjoy the husky liner floor mats. I had them in my old YJ and they were super easy, just spray them with the hose and they are clean. I probably liked mine even more because I got them for free!
