What can i replace my spare tire with?

I need to remove my spare tire it's killing my tail gate from the weight and caused major damage to it so I had to do a weld job so I wouldn't have to replace the tail gate, ( it was rusted to hell under the hinge mount and this was the best I could do for a newbie) any idea what I can do to the rear end so it isn't barren after removing my spare? Something to make my jeep still look beefy?

I put a rear bumper with a swing out tire carrier on it so there is no weight on the tailgate unfortunately for me my spare busted my tailgate so that I hade to replace it also there are many options that look so much can better than the bumperettes

Like said you have several options, personally I would find a part out on CL and replace the tailgate, can usually find them for less than a hundred bucks, then get a bumper to carry your spare. I don't like the look of a wrangler from the back without the spare but many guys will disagree.

Maybe weld up some Jerry can holders? Or something else that would be useful in a pinch, like a hilift jack and shovel holder.

I usually run without a spare (31X10.5X15) and carry a can of Fix-A-Flat. When I go off road I carry my spare on my roof rack. I don't carry it all the time because my Jeep won't fit in the garage with the spare on the roof. Just rolling the dice. Good Luck, L.M.

seen a guy use a nissan pathfinder swing out carrier i think if you built a strong enough bracket and tied it into the rollbar would work.. i plan on trying to figure it out someday.. top is easy bottom one may be a little tougher
