what do i have?????

alright so i know this pertains to the 4.0l swap but this is more specific than that. so here is the story. i have gone to auto zone and auto parts (parts stores) to buy a tranny mount i tell them what i have witch is a 93 Cherokee 4.0 with the ax15 tranny and they ask if it is 4 wheel or rear wheel (wtf) anyway
both gave me some bs part that doesn't work the bolt holes are too far apart. well i know that both the wrangler and cherokee have the same ax15 so i asked for that one and the gave me the freaken tranny mount to an ax5 what tranny do i have i mean did i buy the wrong tranny. what the hell else could've came with it???? when i bought the tranny it was with the matching engine and t case out of a "93 cherokee" so i mean what is going on???

you should have put this with your swap thread, you are having a great time. when you got the engine it was already bolted to the trans right? they might have just had the part #'s wrong in the system, it happens. i don't think you have an ax5, got a pic of the trans? sounds like parts guys are idiots, maybe try measuring the holes, and find a good parts guy, i just said this in another post, a good parts guy can find stuff cuz of experience, not just lookin in computer, computers aren't always right.

i've seen it where every parts store has the wrong number for a part in their system. it just happened to me at work on a serp belt. everyone had a number for a chevy belt that was just 3/4" too short. it happens, thats why i say take measurment, and find a parts guy that can do more than just look at a confuser, i mean computer.
