What do ya'll think of the new paint?

Just got it back from the body shop...It got:

New floor pans.
Frame completely sandblasted...well 98% of it, than resealed.
All the hinges sandblasted and repainted.
Body completely stripped, sealed, primed and painted.

Next is rhino the under-body and frame, and rhino the tub....

Looks great!
If I may ask, how much did the paint job cost? I want to get a paint job on my Jeep sometime in the next year.

Well, for all the work i wanted done i was getting quotes from 2500 to 3700 at most body shops and restoration places...Luckily, a guy from my Church who has been working at an auto body shop for the last 25 years, lost his job after the shop close, so he and his son started their own little auto body business and did all the work for me for $1050....no it is not a typo!
he does great work, and i get good prices since we know each other.
I would say you should expect to pay that much for just a good paint job alone at most places.

Haha, yea i wasn't either. my original plan was go black everything, but than i took the roll bar pads off and saw what the green looked like before it was faded and weathered....now black is history. I also think other colors like red, black, silver...etc, are too common.

Wow. Looks great. He did that basically for free. My paint material alone was $500.

That's what I was thinking. My paint was $500 for the sealer, base, clear without the primer, sandpaper, filler, etc. The green looks awesome. Now the stress of re-assembly without scratching .

Great color I,ve had that green on the shelf for a month now, just havent had the time, or the weather to get her done, but I am going to make her two tone with white accents, i think it will look ok.

Take your time putting her back together, and get help with the larger parts, like the windsheld, two pepole make that one alot easier. She'll look realy great when you are done, if you can ever be done with a jeep

Yes, it was great to have someone i can trust do the work for...well, like you said, almost free! i did strip it down myself to save him some labor, and i bought the floor pans myself as well.

if i ask a friend for help, i wouldn't be able to concentrate on what i am doing cuz i would want to keep an eye on him the entire time...i am a bit O.C.D about my cars! when it was at the body shop, i stopped by everyday to check on progress and make sure it is being done right
