????? what is it?

I have a simple question for someone probably, I bought a 95 jeep
and it has a metal bracket above the rearview mirror with a piece of
material about 4 inches long with a plastic clip attached to it .Does
anyone have a clue what this is for ? I first thought it had something to do
with a bikini top but I put one on this summer and it did not effect it.
Thanks in advance, Bryan

It is for a "strapless" Bikini top. I had one on my YJ. It has a plastic buckle on it right? That is the strap that runs over your "B" pillar and back to the windsheild to keep the tension on the top in the center.

If you have to ask what it is or what it does, you don't need it, and you will need help to install it!

Actually that strap is for the windshield when you fold it forward it attaches to the loop in the center of the hood to secure it from bouncing around. It is used for other things though simply because the manufacturers of different products (i.e. bikini top) have made it possible.
