What is THE most important accessory for a yj?

I have a 1992 yj. It already has Crome rims, it's lifted, big tires, Crome hood grill, and steps on the sides...what should I get next?...

Yeah I know, that seems to be the standard here. I love being different and sticking out Plus chrome is easier to see when Im on top of the hill and everyone is stuck at the bottom

the most important accessory

After all the chrome and all the black, really the most important accessory a jeep needs is a driver. It's just a jeep thing!!!!!!!

I would go for recovery points on the front and rear if you don't already have them. A CB Radio for easier trail communication. Tools, first aid kit etc. I know I am being practical, but they are things you will be happy you have them when you need them.

If you are spending $20 then spray the chrome black, 100 then extended shackles, if its $300 then a front locker will help, if its 5 then I would go susp lift, if 1000 then a mix of the 3 mentioned above, if 2k then add tires and rims to the 1k package...all of this only after u add tow hooks. If going the free route then cut your bumper where it extends past the frame. If going the 10k route...you bought the wrong jeep.

LOTS AND LOTS OF LIGHTS!!!!!!!!

No, seriously. Buy yourself like 3 sets of daylighter 100w lights, and like 10 more offroad lights, then get busy placing them so you can see every bit of the trail

Don't forget to put a few in the rear so you can see when backing up. Or to get those pesky tailgaiters off you.

Tool box with SAE and metric wrenches, assorted screw drivers, jumper cables, tow strap, come-along if you're not up for a winch, lug wrench, bottle jack. The list can go on forever...

Chrome vs blacked is just fashion. And at my age, I wear black socks and Crocs, so I have some trouble understanding the hatred for chrome. Who cares?

I think the most important thing to add at this point would be a credit card with a nice limit, and some gas. Quit modifying the dang thing and go drive.

Oh, and get a new Bestop Bikini. (I'm legally obligated to say that).

LOL... I don't know if I'd call a new rear axle an "accessory".

Oh geez.. so many people are scurred of the d35.... anyways how about some dot legal beadlocks, having the ability to air way down when crawling can be the difference between going through/over/around an obstacle while others must winch or lock up their fancy arbs... beadlocks are on my list
