What is the worse thing you have done to your YJ?

Hello world, so today I decided not to double check the gas can we had laying around in our garage, they were all red and I'm 17 so I just figured red means gas right? Wrong. Diesel was actually in it, spent the after noon purging the fuel system by running the fuel pump numerous times after I disconnected the fuel filter, which also should be replaced. Spark plugs were brand new and are now charcoal black on both the threads and tips. While I was under it I found that where the transmission bolts into the skid plate has broken through and both bolts are about a quarter inch lower than the plate itself, is this an urgent fix? Since the Bell housing is still connected to the engine.

Well anyways tell me what you guys have done to neglect your Jeep either out of carelessness or a pure accident!

Not sure about your tranny issue, but the worst thing I did was to pull the valve cover to replace the gasket... Spent 2 hours meticulously cleaning the cover and head contact area, upon installation I cracked it in 4 places and it was shooting oil everywhere... Was way worse than before I started.

Lucky the new valve cover was only like $35, just hated spending all that time cleaning!

The second day I had my jeep, I replaced a hose clamp that was corroding on a hose that goes to the heater core and apparently pushed to hard while putting the hose back on and busted the heater core. I woke up the next day to coolant in the jeep and a simple 2 dollar hose clamp turned into a 500 dollar heater core replacement...

That one hurt

Accident - I did not latch the hood after checking the oil before a ride. It decided to slap the windshield at about 50mph. Now I have a Poison Spyder hood louver panel.

The worst thing I've done to my YJ is put a 4.5 inch lift on it.

I should have gone with a 6 inch lift!

I jumped it on a pile of rock and sand on my way to some trails. Well, I was passing a big rig and for some reason the rain had pushed the sand and gravel pile that is commonly found on back road corners halfway into the left lane. So I went IMO the left lane to pass the big rig(not a great ideal to bein with), got around him, and about 5 seconds later WHAM!!!! Me and my buddy were in the air for what felt like several minutes(I had enough time to say oh shit several times) but it was really under a second.
