What type of exhaust set up is best

I have a 92yj and it currently has a flowmaster but it's not quite exactly the way I want it to sound. Does any have any suggestions?

If you're looking for it to sound like a V8, forget it. I have a Borla header and Flowmaster, it sounds fine, but not like my truck with the 6.0. They also sell a muffler tip that has holes inside that I found at the parts store, it actually lowered the sound of the exhaust.

Well I knew it wouldn't sound anything like a V8 but I was shooting for a more tough sound to it. At first I wasn't to crazy about it but it's grown on me and I think I really like it. So I guess I'll keep it but thanx for the input.

If it's the 4.0, I think the Flo-Pro twister is the best sounding muffler I've ever heard on it. If it's the 2.5, keep what you have and don't waste money trying to get it to sound tougher.

Is haven't changed the exhaust tip on it though would you recommend doing that in addition to the muffler?

I bought a tip at O'Riellys that suprized me how much it improved the sound. I was just looking for a new tip and found this tip that looked like the Borla tip. It's sort of rounded rectangular shape and had holes (baffles) around the inside. It lowered the sound and gave a throaty sound.

So the tip that you bought at oreillys was the one with the holes in it?
