Finally got the family roll bar in, bed-lined the tub and installed a Smittybilt security console. I helped a friend setup his laptop and he gave me a TJ safari top and windshield mount. I had to modify the windshield mount some but got it bolted on and the top fits pretty damn good. Never intended on buying one because I wouldn't use it too much... But how can you turn down something for FREE!

The bronze color was an original 91 color alonge with red, black, and white. I have only ever seen two bronze Renegades. The blue color started in 92. I know because I wanted to order a blue Renegade in 92 but bought my 91 as a left over. I have owned my Renegade since I bought it off of the deals lot in September of 91.

Here is my 91 YJ Renegade. Its all original except the mirrors and tires.

That wouldn't be factory. Just a PO modification.

i have a smittybilt secrurity console and it makes the seatbelt rub on the passenger side does any one have this prob too? with the neoprene seat covers on there it rubs good . I took the belt out of the housing thinking that it might help. it did help but still rubs alot on the head of the belt. was thinking maybe a longer belt so the head will stay on top of the seat when it flips up but it would have to be pretty long .

My passenger side is fine, a little tight, but my drivers side is an issue...mainly because I have a "passenger" seat there! Had an extra passenger seat that was in perfect shape so I used it. The seat belt wasn't a problem until I installed the Smittybilt console. I had to remove the plastic lift handle housing on the seat and remove the seat belt cover. It's still a tight fit and I don't move the seat forward to access the back seat. I just do that on the passenger side.

All in all I'm fine with it because I love the console!

The one thing I really didn't care for on the Renegades were the bumpers.

Here's what I did for the front...

The leather boot uses the same metal frame as the rubber boot to secure it to the floor. So position wise there is no difference. The rubber boot itself does stick out more in the back so that is what looks different.

My radio is in the dash. A buddy has one like yours and the radio does sit back some. I think it's better used for a CB rather than a radio myself.
