Mines the exact same way but the gap is too large for the clip. I've had it like this for about a month. I don't think it is the source of the leak because the window is sealed to the hardtop with silicon.

Looks like it needs a new seal that one has drawn up form being old may be hard and now sealing to glass. the ends should all most touch.

The rubber trim pieces shrink with time and age. The seal is actually a glue holding the window in place and the leak has nothing to do with this trim piece. You'll have to have the window resealed at an auto glass shop. You can replace the trim piece with new ones fairly cheaply.

you can buy the rubber caulk at NAPA,about $20.00 a tube.cleaning out the old seal is the hard part....russ
