wimpy front d/s

why the crap are these front drive shafts so skinny!

i just bent the hell outta mine on the trail, and its no wonder...
its gotta be all of 1 1/2" thick!!

anyone ever do any mods to there front drive line?

are the tj's the same?

i mod'ed mine by throwing it in the scrap pile and having a new one built

i think i paid around 200 buck iirc. might have been a little more, but its BEEF

my stocker looked like a string of spaghetti after i was done with it

i had a pic of the 2 driveshafts side by side at some point, but i think it was on my old webserver thats dead and gone. iirc, my new one is 2" tubing, .125 wall. i could be wrong on that though. its beefier than my rear shaft, which i guess makes sense since the front is more likely to tangle with rocks.

SOA was totally worth it for me. it was a fair amount of work, since i had no hands on help, was learning as i went, and was doing other simultaneous mods.... not to mention my welder was at one place, and my jeep at the other. LOL. anyway, it would go way faster for me if there was a next time.

my jeep is ugly, but it gets me where i need to go

its definitely not as fancy or well built as some around here......but i wouldnt look right in a nice looking jeep, im kinda ugly and patched together myself
