Not sure about those winches, been years since Ive had one and it was a Warn 8275.

But my advice... find a way to hide it, or everyone that is stuck will look to you to rescue them.

Back in the day it seemed we couldnt enjoy an outing without pulling everyone else out of the ditches. And typically none of those were with us on the trip. lol

I have a smittybilt myself, but if i was going to buy a new one, it would be a badlands winch from harbor freight. A friend got one and its almost exactly the same as mine, has a faster line speed, its 12,000LB where mine is only 8000. and the best part is, it was about half as much.

I have a Smittybuilt XRC10, two of my buddies have XRC8s and we have had no problems with them. We got them from 4WD and thier warranty is great too. The little rubber cap to cover the plug outlet broke of my buddies winch, they sent he a whole new box.
