YJ hard top

Hey guys, I got a YJ hard top for free from some random person, It seems to be a little older and doesn’t have the normal mounting capability to the frame, the bottom of the hard top that rests on the frame seems to be made of wood, has anyone seen this before?

Hmm. Without pictures it's difficult to offer any advice.

Welcome to the Forum bo.burrell,

Back out one page and look for a sticky near the top of the page titled "A better way to get help when posting in the YJ tech forum." Read it for some good advice. It applies to the general discussion forum too.

BTW, post some pics of the top in question.

Good Luck, L.M.

welcome to the forum.

No, the top that you got is not from a YJ and probably not for a YJ. No YJ top ever had wood incorporated into it. No, if it doesn't have mounting capabilities to a YJ, it is not from a YJ.

But if all else fails, there's always Duct Tape

Methinks bo.burrell has a homemade top or a home repair of a regular top. We'll know if he posts pics.

Free is usually good, but not always.

Good Luck, L.M.
