yj ideas?

Anyone have any cool ideas or mods that I should do to my 89 yj? I already did wheels tires, lift, off road lights, stereo, and a few other little things

who did the lift to it? is it the original axles? if it is its 4.11 rear 4.10 front gearing....i can't see why they would downgrade it to 3.73....the thing would be horrible on takeoff or offroad with that high of a gearing....stock was above mentioned numbers....for a 4 cylinder of any year

Put a CB in it so you can flirt with fat, smelly truck drivers.
RainX the windows.
Get some testicles to hang off the back.
Put some stickers on the hard top.
Get a custom license plate.
Get a really loud annoying horn.
Put a " I support our local police " sticker on the back.
Find yourself an extra AX5 so you will be ready when the inevitable happens

You don't have to take it apart to figure out gearing. Block the front wheels so they won't roll, put the jeep in neutral, jack up both rear tires off the ground and then count the number of driveshaft rotations per tire rotations. Put a mark on the driveshaft and tires. Spin the driveshaft until the tire makes 1 complete rotation. Make sure to count how many times the driveshaft spun. If it spins 4 times and goes a little over 4 then you have 4.11s

PLEASE tell me you remove the track bars?

If so, then amp up your stereo. Make it so you need dual batteries

My first question: does everything work correctly?
If not, theres a good place to put your money.

Second question, is there anything you want to do now, that your Jeep cant do?
Functional > Cosmetic.

Jeeps are easy prey for thieves, how about a quality alarm with a proximity sensor.

If none of what im saying makes sense, hit up your local Kragen or Autozone auto parts store, buy ALL the nifty little stickers you can and plaster the sides of your Jeep with them. The KOOL factor will blow all the girls skirts off and you will be in [email protected]$ deep!

I do have to admit, one mostly cosmetic mod I did was the LED rears, made fueling up alot easier! and I get that KOOL factor whenever my wife is in the garage next to it!

got to say that is a pretty nice jeep... One thing I would do is to "black out" stuff, headlight bezels, hinges, anything else you can think of... Maybe a brush guard some flat fenders

^^How the hell can you see at night when backing up? Isn't the lack of reverse lights illegal, or is that just another california thing?

The first hole hurt, you know its too late to turn back with a 4 inch hole in your Jeep.

Otherwise, its just wiring...

Im sure some day Ill get pulled over, but until then, a cop has to see me backing up at night to even remember that stuff, Cops around here are too busy busting speeders and commute lane violators to bother with a tail light issue. I suppose if I get pulled over for something else he could add it to the citation, and ill pop on a flood light, get it signed off and remove it again.
