Yj won't stop

1990 yj 4.2 , I have to stand on the brake pedal with both feet and roll to a stop.

I replaced the booster to no avail, my gut tells me I have a defective booster.

Some Jeepers have upgraded to the newer dual diaphragm booster. I looked into the upgrade but don't know if it is simply as simple as buying a new (reman) booster at NAPA and just bolting it on. There may be other considerations, such as difference in length of the brake pedal rod or where the booster bolts to the firewall.
Other posters that have done the upgrade should chime in.

By all accounts the dual diaphragm booster is a great upgrade.

Good Luck, L.M.

Have you checked the calipers and wheel cylinders to see if they are moving properly?

I am going to replace the wheel cylinders and rear soft lines, I replaced the calipers and ft soft lines 2 years ago.

My jeep is badass, unfortunately a job change and a company car has kept me from driving it for a few years.

I checked the rear wheel cylinders and they are fine. I did adjust the park brake and that seemed to help a little.
I checked the vacuum check valve on the booster and it is working as it should, I also sprayed carb cleaner all around the vacuum ports and found no change in idle.

I am thinking that I got a defective booster
