10K rear winch install

Not necessarly needed, but I like building things, and it comes in handy.

Chose a Warn zeon 10 platinium becuase it has a wireless remote operated clutch, so you dont need to be able to reach the winch to free spool.

If you just want to see what I did then check out the text and pics below. For more info watch the video.

The rear bumper is a modified Warn Elite.

2/0 cables ran from battery to contactor and ground on winch. 2awg cables ran from contactor to winch.

Installed two LED lights that are contolled by the winch remote to light drum.

The control pack was disassembled, the contactor was installed in right rear tailight area of body. The wireless circuit board was installed under right trim plastic inside jeep near rear cigarette lighter. The main on/off switch for wireless function was ran up front to a switch pod install.

Contactor removed, all wires were cut and extended.

Contactor installed in rear tail light area of jeep.

Rear crossmember cut and a section of 1/2" thick tube steel was welded in, 3" heavy channel was welded over the top. Nuts welded in for mounting fairlead.

Video.

I had installed a rear winch on my last rig. Found I would use it more than the front winch. I would love to install one on my JKU so this was very interesting for me. Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
