2011 JKU Rubicon 'Grips'

Traded in my 2008 JKU (manual) for a 2011 JKU Rubicon (auto).

Bought from dealer

Previous owner added:
- 35 inch Mickey Thompson tires
- Moto Metal Wheels
- 2-3 inch?(unsure) Procomp susp. lift
- Angry front grill (I am not a fan of the angry front grill look. I have since swapped this out for oem front grill)
- Winch (the winch is stuck in freespool mode. need to fix this).

blacked out the chrome wheels with wheel paint.

The previous owner put on moto metal chrome skull wheels.
These are not the wheels i would have chosen... but they will do for now.
blacked out chrome wheels with wheel paint.
I am happy with the result.

Steps:
1. clean wheels with soap and water or wheel cleaner
2. rinse & wipe wheels dry
3. put plastic bag behind wheel to protect brakes and other parts from getting paint on them
4. put painters tape on parts of wheel you do not want to paint
5. use sandpaper and sand down the parts of the wheel you wish to paint
6. wipe any sand paper residue from wheel
7. apply 2 coats of wheel paint
8. appy 1 coat of wheel gloss
9. remove painters tape from wheel and garbage bags from behind wheel
10. sit back and marvel at your blacked out wheels

Added the RockSport Steering Stabilizer Kit, JK Wrangler to go with the new Metalcloak tie rod

this kit contains the MetalCloak Steering Stabilizer Axle Side Relocation Mount that places the steering stabilizer up and out of harms way from where the factory steering stabilizer was mounted originally.

Found a Rubicon 10th Anniversary Off Road Bumper FREE on Craigslist.

The bumper has been in an accident (it has a cpl dings in it) but I was able to buy a new fog light bezel for it and bolt it on to the jeep.

I still need to add a fog light to the drivers side bezel and will prob. re-paint the bumper with bed liner but so far i am happy with it.

I bought one of these new for my last jeep and it cost me around $1000 just for the stubby version. This one also came with the steel skid plate and the end caps. Talk about CL deal of the week.
