Day 1

So this was day 1 when we brought her home. I named her Lazarus. The only thing I brought from my old jeep was the grill insert that I got from dirty acres

Initial Additions

I started small and wanted to get just the essentials. I got door sill guards, Quadratec all weather floor mats, fuel door, mcgrad lug nuts, and plasti dipped the center cap of the rims black.

Making it mine

Next I went and had new decals made from pixeldecals.com. I made the black on red with the black being reflective. I also added funny stickers to match my personality.

Next I went with Quadratec Stealth LED headlights. Got them for 200 bucks off of Facebook so I couldn't pass them up. As you can see in the grill pic I also rebadged it with the black Jeep emblem from Mopar. Then I went with JW speaker taillights. These are amazing and the pic doesn't do them justice. The last photo shows that I took the side steps off and added the Rubi rock rails that it comes with. Going to be adding the ACE side steps that will go on with these soon.

Interior painting

The last project I tackled was painting the interior black and red. Took a little work and patience, but overall I'm happy with the finished product. Also in this photo you'll see that upgraded it to have the 730 RHR in dash navigation. It gets a bad rap as a head unit, but what I REALLY like is the bred crumb feature for when your on new trails that you don't know.

Soft Top

The jeep with the hardtop and had a broken down Rough Country Soft Top. Thing was to loose and flapping in the breeze so I splurged and got the Bestop Supertop NX in Twill. Now I have the Quadratec Soft Top before on my last jeep, and it was a great top. However now that I have the twill top I'm totally in love with it. It has a lifetime warranty on it as opposed to the 3 year warranty that comes with the Quadratec top. Its a bit pricer but I think its worth it in the end.

Just got some good news from the wife. My birthday was May 1st. So next month on the 15th she is getting me my ACE rock sliders. Can't wait for that. The future mods I got going on this are.

Mountain Off-Road DP0709DS MORE Dead Pedal
AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake
AIRAID 300-637 PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer
J.W. Speaker Model 239 J2 Series LED Turn Signals
J.W. Speaker 6145 J2 Series LED Fog Lights
US Speedo SSJK01R Stainless Steel Gauge Face Kit in Red
LoD JBF0745 Offroad Signature Series bumpers front and rear
WARN 95950 ZEON 12-S Winch with Synthetic Rope
Poison Spyder Aluminum extra wide crusher flares
ARB Competition Differential Cover
MetalCloak 2.5" game changer lift and the Steersmart YETI XD will all go on at once.
aFe Power 49-46221 Mach Force XP Hi-Tuck 3" CAT Back Exhaust will also go on when the lift is happening.

I haven't decided on a skid plate system yet. Still juggling with aluminum or steel and what brand to go with. Still got plenty of time to figure that out.

Rugged Ridge Third Brake Light

Just Installed the Rugged Ridge spare tire brake light. This thing is bright and makes the rim look really cool. They have instructions for plugging it in to your existing brake light to make it work as well because its not "D.O.T. Approved." I left the undone for now and zip tied the wires in side the spare tire mount. I'm wanting to cut the top portion of the third brake light off to give it a cleaner look.

US Speedo Instrument Cluster

I'm going for the black on red with this jeep and installed the new instrument cluster. Got some pics to show before, middle, and after. The last photo didnt come out very well. All the numbers are bright red as well and not that orange looking color. Ill take another photo tonight to see if it looks any better. Overall I am very happy with this mod. Simple and easy to do. The only tedious part is getting the needles back in the proper spot.

Ace Rock Sliders

Just got my early Christmas present in today. Got them installed without any issues. Used an impact wrench to get the body mounts off since they had Loctite on from the factory and they came off easily. Tightened the bolts down with a torque wrench to 100lbs. Going to recheck the bolts in a couple weeks to make sure they haven't loosened. Super happy with how they look.

Just got done installing this this evening. This thing will suck your hand down to the air inlet when you rev up the engine.

All JW Speaker Lights

Found a killer deal for JW Speaker J2 Headlights $399, and $250 for the fog lights. Gave my wife the Quadratec headlights and fog lights for her jeep. You can check that out in the my link below if you'd like. Love the look and they are amazingly bright and well worth the reputation they have.

Rivnuts to the bumper pieces.

So I got sick and tired of fighting with the damn push pins that come on the bumper frame cover and the skid plate. They have a Phillips head that you're supposed to be able to "screw out" but they always strip. So I decided to use a 1/2 drill bit and drill the holes a little bigger and added 5/16 rivnuts into the holes. I then used grade 8 bolts with 1/4 size grade 8 washers. The pieces are super solid now and will make it much easier if ever needing to remove them again. Especially when I put on a new front bumper.

ARB Diff Cover

Just installed the ARB diff covers with the reusable Lubelocker. They are little difficult to install without it being lifted, but just disconnect the sway bar and lift it on the frame and it makes it less difficult.

Future Plans

So now I'm onto the more expensive purchases like bumpers, fenders, and winch. I'm going for the 2.5 inch game changer lift from Metalcloak with Fox shocks. Been doing some research and they suggest upgrading your driveshafts at the same time. Did some shopping at that's another 1000. But when your spending 3K what's an extra grand right.
