apparently i cant edit the OP? guess i really am a noob lol

here's my latest mod, just got these in yesterday and put them on last night, took me about 20 minutes in total and

considered going with JW speakers (or at least amazon lookalikes) but i don't love the look so went with these instead because i like the look a lot better and so far so good!

i clearly wasn't thinking and my 3rd brake light never even entered my mind so the smoked led version of that is on its way and should be here this weekend

if you read the OP you can see theres a lot of stuff on the way, will update as it happens!! quite excited to finally be building her out the way i always wanted to

finally got that 3rd smoked led brake light in, figured out you have to take off the spare tire (or at least loosen it a lot like i did) to have the clearance to swap out your light

those lugs were stuuuupidly stuck on there, took everything i had to get them to turn but it happened in the end!

finally matching lights on the back... pics below and lots more coming soon!!

^no clue why thats sideways, apologies but its not like that til i upload it on here

shoutout to @volintejas for the deal on the tires, caught me just before i bought brand new AT2s and instead picked up his with 4k miles on them for a good bit less than new ones

also just ordered new LED fogs and after reading all 40 pages of the thread about the pedal commander i was convinced to pull the trigger on one of those too, especially with 35s happening next week, hopefully will tide me over til i can regear to 4.88 (currently on 3.73)

am out of town at the moment, but will try to find the time to install the fogs at some point when i get back and post about how easy/hard it was to get to them with my bumper setup and if i break my back installing the pedal commander (might need your help with that volintejas lol)

nice!!!!

looks good buddy! i love that front bumper combo package. the lines with the stock fenders are the best i have seen. If u ever go to a diffrent fender, you can just take the ends off and boom! instant stubby! keep the updates coming!

of course i am partial to the bumper set up for a reason

your jeep is very clean man, of course iím a huge fan of the bumper because of how it appears to connect to the fenders, and the modular ability is so nice too

love your jeep, how are those smoked turn signals? i put clear ones in mine a while ago but always get the itch to add more contrast lol

we all know about THAT itch! lol to tell u the truth they were a PITA to install because i had to splice in the resistors for them. I dont like cutting wires, but it wasnt awful. now that its done i love the smoked look. ala ur 3rd brake light taillight combo.

thanks for the compliment btw.

looks great and iím sure drives great, have you tried other shocks to compare them to the fox 2.0? i know fox is the go to but just curious if you have any experience comparing them to anything else... so far pretty happy with my bilsteins

also what gear ratio?

well after 45 mins of struggling and cutting up my fingers and wrist, i managed to get my pedal commander installed. for those of you who are familiar with the install, i have the dreaded black box, so even with the metal plate removed, it was a nightmare to get it connected.

finally did though and so far iím honestly not terribly impressed, but i havenít driven it much with it yet. regardless, i donít think iím gonna return the damn thing because i honestly donít think i can put myself through the (un)install again.

i changed modes via bluetooth on my phone while at a stop light in park, and my jeep gave me the check engine light i know it doesnít really need the engine checked but gotta go clear it because i canít stand having lights on my dash lol

for those of you with the pedal commander, what do you do to switch modes without getting the check engine light?

decals to come next week!

I had a BDS shock until very recently. it had come with the previous kid i had. it road like a truck on the road. e very little whole or bump was a teeth rattling experience. the fox are 100 times better. Bilstein was my 2nd choice, but the cost difference was negligible and i know alot of people who run the fox with no complaints.

3.73. i have tossed around the idea of going to 4.56, but i daily driver this sucker 70 miles a day, i need to keep what little gas mileage i get as high as possible. now if i can ever get alittle POS commuter car. i will be going to 4.88 likely.

Beautiful Jeep, what did you end up doing with the pedal commander, just bought one and this is one of the first negative reviews I have seen about it. that check engine line is so annoying when you don't have anything to clear it.

gotcha, iím running 3.73 also, iíll probably re gear in a year or 2 but living in texas itís pretty flat and close to sea level so the jeep seems to be handling it super well thus far. she lost a step no doubt but not bad at all, the pedal commander helps

thanks man. i finally got the PC installed yesterday and other than the check engine light i like it after driving a bit more. currently have it on city +1 and will probably keep it around there. i hopped on it getting onto the freeway this morning and noticed how i didnít have to push my gas pedal down nearly as far to get close to redline and get some juice

sport +1 was a little too touchy to me, especially when backing up. ill keep experimenting but city +1 is fine for now. the true measure is when you turn it off, you realize what it does.

while i donít totally think itís the best use of 300 bucks ever, iíll keep it and iím (now) happy with it, other than the install that was nothing short of terrible, and if i didnít have relatively slim and long fingers, no chance i get it installed because i have the black box back there

just gotta get the light cleared soon i hate seeing it

Your jeep is looking awesome. Glad you got it back so fast - Jeff and the gang moved quickly on it!

Also, sorry to hear about your PC issues - the check engine light is a new one for me. What code is it giving you?

thanks! i was actually on their schedule (running about a month out) but got the tires from you about 2 weeks into the waiting period lol

started her up today after work and the check engine light was gone! glad it resolved itself

i have a kind of funny metallic clinking noise coming from underneath, only at low speeds (or at least if itís doing it at high speeds i canít hear it over my exhaust lol) so gonna call jeff next week and see if i can swing by to have that diagnosed

did you have the black box when installing the pc?

2013 JKU S Oreo Build

Possibly the exhaust making contact with something?

One thing I have learned to appreciate about mods is that once you solve for x, then y gets out of whack.

And no, the black box was not on my jeep. Praise be Fiat!

hmm could be... the exhaust is really tucked up under the bumper so maybe itís rattling around a bit... pic of the exhaust below

very jealous you didnít have that black box though, i donít have a rubi or the upgraded uconnect so i wasnít expecting to have it, was very sad to see i did when i pulled the metal plate off lol

Thinking more inboard perhaps the exhaust is making contact with the front drive shaft. Some people needed exhaust spacers to clear the front drive shaft (or replaced the stock front drive shaft with a thinner - but stronger - aftermarket one).

Brakes. I had a few too many close calls on the tollway, 635, and 75 with the braking performance being less than ideal. I didnít upgrade them until I put on the 37s but wish I had done it earlier. The regear was good but not nearly as impactful as brakes and certainly not a necessary from a safety point of view.

The only other things that I can think of - and only became a must do after the fact - was stripping out my original lift for a much better quality one, plus good adjustable shocks, and a griffin attenuator that helped smoothed out some of the terrible roads around Dallas.

I do like the psc hydro assist (a nice to have) but I do have a little bit of bump steer at the moment that I believe a flipped drag link may cure so that is next on my list.

Most everything else (outside of the infrastructure to run 37s) have been more of a gluttonous kind of addition.

i was already thinking brakes were next on my list but it helps to hear you say that as well, kinda confirms what i was thinking in regards to safety, especially now with the bigger tires

what brakes did you go with? also have my eye on that attenuator for our miserable dallas roads... the difference from my pizza cutter tires to the 12.5" wide at2s over bumps (plus shocks and springs having a big impact no doubt) is huge though

Dynatrac Progrip (front and rear). I would have liked to put in the Mopar big brake kit but I could not fit the larger booster under my air compressor. At any rate, I am very pleased with the Dynatracs and have no complaints - the braking power and pedal downtravel/force feel better than stock, even with the weight of my rig and larger tires.

I like how it is coming together, being that we have the same color scheme, I definitely will continue to follow what you are working with.
