Thank you, Sir!

Nothing new on the Willys other than an alien shade, tried them out since I've already had 2 spiderweb shades.

Keeping my eyes open for some HR/X/10a bumpers, would like to get a screaming deal on those. Otherwise she's happy with how it turned out. Tells me almost every day that she loves it

Big thanks to Jason @KrawlOff-Road.com he got the Teraflex cargo rack here in record time.

Assembled it today, love this thing. It'll be great for this weeks WF K-Trail wheeling trip and all summer to help keep things secure when the top's off.

Awesome! And you installed it in record time as well! Now, make sure you take some pictures with it out on the trails.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of these builds. We are here to do anything we can for you! Welcome to the KOR family...

@blue baby sound ... btw, how many miles do u have since installing ur big brake kit? does it show any significant wear? and how are you liking it after all the seasons?

I have about 26k miles on my oem and plan on upgrading the brakes and ball joints at the same time instead of getting a winch.

40k on it, no wear. I'll add the rear the system sometime soon. I'm a believer.
Ball joints are fun!! Not... Helped a buddy with his a couple of months ago, and I have a set in the garage waiting for install next week on my buddies Jeep. Fun fun!!

So a few weeks ago the WF local forum started planning a K Trail trip for this weekend. As luck would have it my son's High School soccer team scheduled a game for our first night of that trip (won their district championship and moved on to State final)

So instead of meeting a few people and heading down together I had to leave a little later and catch up. Game finished, grandson and I jump in the Jeep and hit the highway for the 2+ hour drive there. ETA to campground 10:46 according to GPS. That's when the drama started.

9:30 PM Jeep loses power, chimes start going off, every light on the dash lights up. Ughhh...... I pull over, pull battery connections and make sure +/- are secure. Start up and it's ok. Drive a few minutes and then it's back. Managed to make it to a small gas station.

At this point I fall back on my years of GoogleFu training and try to conjure my inner master mechanic. *sigh... should have paid more attention in GoogleFu training. Nothing works.....

11:00 PM I call it. Call the wife to come get me and the grandson. Called a tow truck.
12:30 AM wife arrives to save the day
2:00 AM No tow truck, call again
3:00 AM Still no tow truck, call again
4:00 AM Tow truck arrives
5:00 AM get home

So this is now officially the worst camping /wheeling trip EVER!!!! Don't know whether to be more upset that I let down my grandson, or that I have a broken Jeep, or that I'm missing an awesome wheeling trip.....

To top it off the son's team lost, but they played great. My son scored an awesome goal by sliding under their keeper as he was diving for the ball. Proud daddy!!

So moral to the story; I guess you win some and you lose some.

I know, pics or it didn't happen:

My new Christmas tree. I suspect the PCM is fried. First I thought clock spring. Dunno....

The wife and Maximus showed up to console a sickly Brutus

And finally, the walk of shame. Even the tough guys don't look so tough when their on a hospital bed

Wish me luck, we'll see what the dealer says on Monday

Sorry to hear about the breakdown. I don't know if I would be more ticked about Brutus' breakdown or waiting 2 hours for the tow truck.

Let's just hope the dealership can get your rig in and out and not take a week like the last repair.

Hopefully there will be another WF trip in the near future that you can take the kids to.
