Jk two door on a JKU four door frame?

I have an 08 JKU frame I got from a buddy of mine. I’m in Florida and can’t find a tub with a title to put on it. I can find so many two doors though. So this is my question. Can I buy a 2 door jk tub and cut it behind the doors and stretch the back so it goes over the rear wheels. Don’t care for two door but shit I think it’d be cool if I can get any ideas on making it work? The jk and JKU are only 20 inches difference in length if I’m not mistaken? Anyone done this or thought about just stretching a two door ? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Only spent 2500 dollars for whole thing so I’m doing good already 🤩this is what it looked like before he took his cab off for a 2.5 street legal project. I have everything you see in pictures but the cab!!!!

sure if you have enough money and skills it would be ez. Lots of people stretch 2 doors.

Thanks! Does the body mounts line up and if so how many before I’d have to cut? Meaning the radiator support, by the end of the fenders and middle can fit? That’d be great at least I can set it on and bolt it after I cut. Shouldn’t be too hard to fill in the 20 inch gap!

Is everything from the front to the end to the back two doors the same as a 4 door? Just want to cut with cutting wheel and move the ass over the back.

I don't know, but just get a tape measure and find a 2 door to measure. I am pretty sure the mounts are the same to the front doors but without having one to measure can't say for sure.

If you look at the JKU frame you can see where the 20" was added. Every thing forward of the added section is the same and from the extension back should be the same also. Should be easy doable Mod extend the side panels and floor pan would be cool.

I just cut my 2 door frame and added 26", working towards building a pick up. Front and rear frame are exactly the same on JK and JKU, the difference is in the center.

Body was a crude hack so I could set it back on for measuring and mockup. Roof came from Gr8tops.
