Just getting started.

So back in October I traded in my 2 door ‘13 JK for a little bit newer (2015) and half the miles (26k) 4 door Unlimited. Little better equipped than my 13 but had the crappy SRA tires. I shouldn’t say they are crappy. They did fine around town and were quiet. Plus it’s not like they were bald or anything. But I knew they were gonna have to go. Since there was no step, I got a set of Grabars front and rear so if I had to give somebody a ride, they had something to grab for. And that was essentially it for a little bit. Then this week I added new 33s. Fit great and don’t rub. And today dropped in a new set front and rear weather tech floor mats. Now it time to figure out the next step. Lights or flat fenders or lift. Any opinions? Not gonna do flat fenders and a lift with 33s. Would look a little silly.

Welcome and congrats on the new Jeep!

While you're researching what brand lift, size, etc., maybe upgrade headlights and add some type of rocker/sliders? Have fun with you're choices

Thanks. IF I went with a lift, I’d be looking at 2-2.5” lift and more than likely either a Rock Krawler, Teraflex or possibly MC. I’m also looking at MCE, DV8 or smittybilt for flat fenders. But I won’t do both lift and fender flares. Lights are gonna be JW Speakers. Had them on the 13 and loved them. It’s funny how when the next step isn’t super critical, it makes deciding which to do first tough..Hahahaha. I love it.

Ordered my JW Speaker head lights and fog lights. Try to correct the lack of lighting at night. Will get turn signal and rear lights soon. Did some reading up on flat fenders and what is out there. The more I read the less I really want them. I’m not in love with the factory flares but they really seem like the better option, at least for now. So it looks like a lift is going to be the route I go. Being as my wife is on the short side, something for her to step on is going to be a must. What is favorite for steps or sliders that double as a step? I had a Quadratec tube step on the ‘13 but I’m not going that route again. They weren’t bad but I want a better look this go round.

Got my headlights on Friday. Could not wait to get them installed. While my son was napping decided to take advantage of some me time to get them installed. Didn’t take any pics during the install. I just wanted to get it done. My fog lights weren’t suppose to show up til Jan. 3. However, as soon as I finished getting the headlights in and had the Jeep all buttoned up, who shows up. Brown Santa. Hell might as well install those too. Little guy is still asleep. So those got put in too. Productive afternoon.
