Just tell yourself you wanted cool cowl covers.
In your defense, you may own the world record.

That sucks. Wind has been horrible out here as well. Drove the 13 miles from town and it was a white knuckler all the way.

Hey im still alive. Crazy thing is the jeep has been driven more. Pretty much split the difference eventually between jeep and the car. For a solid 2 years the jeep was hardly driven. This led to clear coat damage to the cowl and top of windshield frame. Also my fenders rusted to crap.
Last weekend i washed the jeep and the microfiber mitt kept pulling off pieces of the fenders coating. Took twice as long pulling the little flakes from the mitt.
Anyways, i made the stupid decision of buying new fenders ... and get this .. same brand E-auto Grills lol. First winter i kept a coat of Fluid film in the seams, inside and it kept them from rusting. Then I neglected her and they went to shit.
Cant beat $350 shipped to my door

Im going to have my detailer do a minor paint correction and 1 year coating. Im pulling the old fenders so he can get to the body under the fenders.

Fresh coat of Bead Maker ... love this stuff.

Its a sealant. Not really known for durability but used as a topper or drying aid, it provides a shine and slickness like no other.

Used on my car as well.

No way. They changed the design on the fenders. They mount closer to the body and fit looks to be spot on. If only the Chinese coating was good we would have a winner lol

I gave up after a while messing with the weather stripping. Got the fronts in but had trouble with the rears by myself. Just tightened the bolts down for now and called it a day.

Jeep came out great. Did a great job with the the swirls.

Tires look a little small (lol) but other than that ....Looks Great!

* Thanks for the tip on that Bead Maker. Love new easy to use "stuff" like that especially when it isn't sold by the gram and requires financing...

I'm going to get some with the expectation it will replace my dinky bottles of ice detailing spray (no worries about Jeep Black Plastic) I figure with those expectations will go from there. Kit comes with a gallon, a spray 1 pint and two(2) towels for like $40... one pint of ice is probably $10.
