My ‘15 JKU Anvil build

Hi, I’m starting a build thread! I bought this Jeep used with 30k miles 2 weeks ago. Over 4th July I took it out to Anza Borrego. Here it is in the desert, stock.

And here it is with new XD wheels and Discount All Terrain 285/70/17’s. I am a big fan of Discount Tire and these are a great deal.

I completed my TF 2.5 inch lift. Went with the TF9550 shocks after lots of debate. Added the exhaust spacer.

I definitely notice a bit of wander but it drives well and I’m happy with the ride.

Stock suspension on the right, lifted on the left. Cosmetically not a big difference in the 2.5” lift. But I measured the clearance gain and noticed the difference climbing in and stepping out.

And I finished my roof hoist $100 in parts including a block and tackle. Took me 3 times to get it working right. I would not recommend building your own to anybody - too much physics and engineering. Buy the $130 unit that sells on Amazon.

Have you ahd it aligned? It should drive better than stock with that lift.

Yes, but maybe I will get that checked. Good suggestion and thanks.

Interesting note. The exhaust was just rubbing when the engine torqued under acceleration. It took me a few weeks to determine it. So we removed the TF exhaust spacer and now it sounds much better.

Alien sunshade’s front and back plus Rugged Ridge grab handles front and rear.

I really like the Alien Sunshade. It fits well and cuts all the heat from the sun while still enjoying an outside experience.
