My 2018 Jeep Rubicon Recon JK build.

I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback from the Jeep community on this. Please post thoughts on this modified ViCowl. Do you like this modification, dislike it, have any advice, etc.

The FF ViCowl is a cool addition, however, it lacks quite a bit in the quality control department. More specifically the weld spots are visible and quite unsightly to say the least, and more significantly the price you pay for a piece of steel I would have expected more from FF for the price paid on this addition. So, a friend and I decided to refine their product to something a lot more stylish and eye catching with buffed clean lines, clean paint and multiple clear coats added, angles, and lastly functionality.

We are very open to ideas to further improve upon the design, please don’t hold back!

About this mod:

- Fab Fours ViCowl
- Sanded raised weld spots down flat
- Re-welded weak points
- Sanded reweld
- Added epoxy
- Has a much more aggressive styling than the stock ViCowl.

It houses a 20 inch rigid midnight light bar, and an additional infrared light bar.

Just my opinion, but I think it's absolutely hideous. To each their own.

I don’t get the reasoning behind adding the cowl. It’s making a small windshield even smaller.

It’s your Jeep and if you like it, be happy.

I was going for a unique design set apart from the stock Jeep look, and was unsatisfied with the stock Cowl. It does have functionality and utility which can be seen with the infrared light (can't really go into details), and the functionality of the light bar for better night time visibility in general, and in off-road settings.

Hopefully this explanation helps to alleviate any confusion you have.

As far as the windshield being smaller the drawback is minimal in that regard.
