So I decided to create this website to document my 2013 JKUS "Mall Crawler" build over the pass 2 years. You can check out the evolution from the day I brought it home from the dealership to modified and lifted and see how I went through 4 different lift (heights) to get it where I like it.
FYI I'm no mechanic and the build is nothing crazy, in fact I still have my stock axles. However all my suspension components and all exterior / interior mods have been re-done by me...except the gears, that was done by professionals through my friend's 4x4 shop.
And if anyone wants to know how it drives with this much height? It drives perfect - no wobble, wander, shimmy nothing even at 65mph. Wait I take that back...I did notice on windy days I do get a little wander, but if I roll down my windows and let the wind blow through the Jeep instead of against it, the wander disappears.
I also took it off-road nothing extreme, just some dirt, rocks, sand and some deep ruts and it ran just fine as well (so far). With the added height however, I developed a strange bushing binding noise, but I still haven't figured out what's causing it - it remains a mystery.
Thanks WF for the visits!
