I've been looking to pick-up a Jeep for awhile now. I wanted something to use on the weekends/take in to work when we get snow. Saw a rescue green JK a month or so ago and fell in love with the color. Ever since I've been looking for one in good condition with some-what low miles.

I found one 5/18, went down to look at it and ended up taking her home after agreeing on a price. Rented a tow dolly from UHaul and towed my car home.

She's an 08 Sahara Unlimited, 52k miles, 6 Speed manual, factory tow package, 3.73 gears. Came with the Dick Cepek Torque wheels (18x8.5)

How she looked when I got her home

The next day I ordered
TeraFlex 2.5" coil lift w/shocks
TeraFlex Adjustable front track bar
TeraFlex front swaybar disconnects
TeraFlex steering stabilizer
Northridge 4x4 hardware upgrade kit
Nitto Trail Grappler's 35x12.5x18

Everything showed up this past Thursday (5/26) so Friday when I got home I pulled the Jeep in the garage and started pulling the old suspension out.. I've installed sport suspensions systems in several cars over the years but this was my first lift. It was surprisingly easy, I'd take a installing a Jeep lift over lowering a car anyday.. My only complaint would be having to reuse some of my hardware, I would have gladly paid extra on the TF kit to have all new hardware included. Not a big deal, I'll picking up replacement bolts/nuts from Tractor Supply..

Yesterday morning I loaded the 5 Nitto's up in the back of the Jeep and headed to the tire center to have them mounted/road force balanced. How she sits now..

Gained a little over 3" in the front and back from the lift, the 35's bumped my ground clearance up another 3".. measurements I took before/after from my roof increased a little over 6" from lift/tires.

I removed the tire carrier/third brake light and put my 5th wheel inside the cab.. its too large and heavy for the stock carrier. I ordered an Or-Fab plate to go on the back and picked up 2 1/2" and 1 1" plugs for the holes left from the wiring and bumpers.

I followed a guide I found and did the alignment myself.. centered steering wheel, centered front axle and checked toe (it was fine).

I ordered a set of spacers to give me additional clearance (my wheels do not have 4.5" backspacing) and a set of TeraFlex lower control arms. Both should be here by next weekend.

Today I'm pulling off the chrome fuel door, sanding it down and painting it with some black truck bed liner.

Bumpers, fenders and rails are in the future.. for now I'm very happy with how she is :)

Haven't updated in awhile.. Jeep has seens some changes

Dropped the rear 44 in favor of a Teraflex CRD60 rear axle w/5.13 ring and pinion, ARB locker and Adams 1350 rear driveshaft.

Front 30 was replaced with a Teraflex R44 (.5" tubes, 4"+ lift) housing built with Yukon 5.13 ring and pinion, ARB 35 spline locker, RCV 35 spline axle shafts, RCV axle seals, Teraflex ball joints, Rancho high steer knuckles and Adams 1310 front driveshaft.

Brakes were upgraded to RT big brake kit in the front, Teraflex big brake kit in the rear. Swapped the brake master for the larger Crown brake master.

What fenders did you end up with? I didn't catch it in your build thread. Do you still like them?
