Front is done. I don't have a winch yet, so the winch mounting plate will have to wait.

@Buildit - Thanks ! I like the wheels a lot. They're easy to clean. I've even got a few compliments as they're not all that common. Next up will be some armor underneath - Rock Hard 4x4 skids. Then I'll likely get a winch, and some Bartact seat covers. It never ends.... so they say.

So, today is one full year with my Rubicon. One year ago today, went in for an oil change and 20k services on my '14 Sahara. I ended up trading for the '16 Rubicon.

On the way home....

Lots of miles and smiles and money later....

She's a beaut Clark! I see a lot of people trading their Jeeps in randomly for another. How are the deals when you trade them in on another? Mine is a year and a half old with 7000 miles. Just got her lifted a month ago, and almost didn't because I was debating trading on a Willys.

Thanks for the compliments !
Deals for trading in are going to vary I'm sure. I got a fair deal, but not a great one. I'm happy with my choice.

So I got a great quote from Quadratec here on WF for a set of Bartact Seat Covers and a console cover (currently on back order). I ordered them Tuesday and they were delivered yesterday.

Install was fairly straight forward after watching CPO's (Overclocked) YouTube videos.
They fit very snug. It's a bit of a pain to tuck and pull all that material through some spots, namely between the seat bottom and back on the the front seats. I did make the small cuts to fit the headrest posts through. Installed the included molle bags too.

Enjoyed reading through your build progression just now, love what you've got going! Recently purchased a white JKURHR so following builds of white JKUs is of great interest. I like how you provide your thoughts on what you might get as well as reasoning behind your eventual purchases.

Trying hard to reign in my lust for upgrades...for now

Bartact on both front and back seats? You must be RICH....LOL ! Great seat covers, but I almost lost my fingers getting it between the seat and back rest ! Second seat was easier after I watched a install video (Duh).

We shall see if / how they hold up to the Florida summer, and not cause swamp azz !

I mostly keep our rear seat folded forward, so I'm still looking for a cheaper seat cover for that !

@Sitting duk - No issues rubbing on the fenders. I haven't really flexed it to the extreme, but I don't expect it would.

I like how you progressed your build. It's always refreshing to see someone wheel these things stock and make changes that improve it for how you want to drive it. How are you liking your Nittos? I'm on the fence between the trail and ridge grapplers. Any plans for a winch?

@Reaperukon - Thanks for the compliments.. I am liking the Trail Grapplers, they handle mostly street driving and of course the off road driving really well. I also tried to decide between full MT's and some of the hybrid AT/MT tires. I may try a set of the hybrids when I need to replace these. It all depends on how long they hold up.
And, I do have plans to add a winch - probably the Quadratec Stealth 9500. That will be after adding some skids (next). Then perhaps some lights - even though I don't go out on trails at night very often.

one of the nicest white JKU on this board.

2 questions,

Did you use wheel spacers with your current setup?

Will the spare wheel/tire fit (in term of weight) on an OEM carrier?

Thank you!!

@dimex3 - Thanks !
1. There aren't any wheel spacers on the black wheels - they're 17x9 w/ 4.7 BS. I did use a set of 1.5" SpiderTrax spacers when I had my stock wheels on.
2. IMO, anything other than a stock wheel and tire on an OEM carrier will likely cause issues at some point.
