Paulo's Rubi JKU build :)

Wsup everyone,

Im a bit late in starting my build thread but here it is.

2016 Jeep Rubicon Rhino (My first Jeep ever, F yeah)

This is the day i got it July 2016. I was a happy little boy0

My very first mod was the atena loll

I then started on my lights .. the hood one is pretty useless. idk. I think the two side d2 lights are enough. I want to move it to my front bumper but cant find the right brackets for it.

pic of my hood light with the added JP sticker that gave me like 30+ hp

Ofcourse they are connected to the SPOD (sorry for the dirty pics lol)

Proud of my wiring .. wanted to make it as clean and safe as possible

I then bought the hardrock front bumper used. I wanted a steel bumper and personally think this is the best looking one. Also the fact that you can take off the ends and add a winch is a plus!

it fking came with pink tow hooks that i had to powdercoat.

install was pretty easy. youtube for life.

So much better... can you guys tell its a bit orange? sucks.

screw it .. im thinking about doing it purple or neon yellow later on

I also bought the soft top premium version because i live in CA and the weather allows for top down most of the year but thinking I want to put the hardtop back on. Anyone interested?? lol

Question:

Im planning to get some other electrical equiptment like a air compressor, rock lights, cb radio, etc .. when is it a good idea to get a dual battery set up??

After debating for about 2 years... I finally decided on which lift I wanted.

Teraflex ST/3 kit with fox shocks

For the wheels and tires I went with BFG KO2 35x12.5x17 and AEV SALTA Onyx

Last look before the LIFT.... super excited at this point (i need a new bumper but holding off because i dont know if i want to get a bumper tire carrier combo or not.

WOW WTF .. i shouldve done this day 1. For anyone who's considering a lift, if youre going to do it do it fast and enjoy. my biggest regret.

ALso sorry in advance for the same photos... loll it just looks so good..

Thanks for looking!

Next Mod ideas:
1. rear seat recliner (anyone have any issues? is it much more comfortable?)
2. air compressor
3. rear bumper
4. tire acrrier
5. tint
6. winch
okay this is actually endless....ill stop here.

My questions:

1. How do you guys with these fox shocks have it mounted? I wanted to mount it side by side because i love the look and not straight like the picture below but it casues rubbing when i go offroading and sway bars are disconnected... Is this the only way?
.

2. I have a 35 inch BFG KO2 tired mounted on my oem tire carrier... is this stupid .. will my hinges give out soon? Im leaning towards the teraflex hinge tire carrier combo but its sooooo expensive just to have another tire on the back.. any other options??

some people are saying that the bumpers with the tire carriers are bad for the jeep and to get the hinge kit .. is this true?

That 5th tire is heavy, so I would certainly say that you should do some sort of tire carrier sooner than later. Welds will start to pop and that tailgate hinges will be damaged at some point. I have the TF HD hinge carrier, I love it. It's expensive, but ask for a quote from quadratec since youre a wrangler forum member and you'll get a little discount. It's all up to you though, some people run this style carrier with zero problems with 37 or 40in tires. I like TF and think it's a quality carrier so I went with it. Solid looking build!

x2 on the TeraFlex Alpha HD Tire Carrier. I have a 37" tire on mine, it's been rock solid. Keep up the nice work

Jeep is looking good!

I found on the FOX shocks that I couldn't keep the resi from wandering. Ended up using the frame mount to fix the problem.

@paulochun looks like you purchased your jeep at OCAuto and got the lift done at OCMotorsports... if so, your jeep is in good hands at OCMotorsports.

Nice jeep.

Did the frame mount come with the kit? I think they might've threw it away... damn! yeah ive been looking at some other pictures and seems like everyone has it the way you described.

I do think that the way the dealer installed it on my jeep wont casue any problems.. just dont like the way it looks

All of their staff are top notch. Dan, Oliver, Mike... and their installers are jeep gurus.
