Thank you, gentlemen. I'm really digging it so far.

Rich, that LS is gonna have to wait... A ~long~ time...

With the holidays, and winter settling in, it's going to be pick the days when I can - man, I've been lucky with the weather up 'til this point.

I've still got the rear tire carrier, front bumper, and winch install on the docket.

We'll have to see after that. I've got plans, but running out of dough... haha Ain't that always the way??

Love the build, looks awesome.

I am amazed at how the rear bumper looks without the tanks in it. It looks so chincy (IMO) in the picture on the ground. Then when mounted, it looks amazing. I can’t wait to get mine

Thanks, XAMfed. Yeah, its funny how the bumper looks 'naked' without the tanks, when we're used to seeing it complete. The tanks don't do a whole lot for protection. That's all in the tubes. And the main plates - that attach to the frame - are massive.

It is quite stout, especially when compared to the 'powder puff' factory bumper. When I pulled the OEM bumper, it felt like one of those plastic sandboxes you get from the toy store.

Due for another update...

So, the weather had turned mighty nippy - overnight lows in the single digits, and the garage was at a balmy 19 degrees. So I fired up the heater and got to work.

Since we love pictures... haha

The players:

AEV Premium Bumper

Warn ZEON 10-S Platinum

The factory bumper was off in a jiffy.

Ready to modify the wiring loom to allow for relocation of the fogs in the new bumper. Simple procedure, just untape, extend, and retape. Easy peasy.

Then it was time to fit the winch and fairlead plates.

Here's a shot of where I trimmed the OEM vacuum pump bracket (yes, filed and painted for protection) .

And here we are, test fitted, ready for adjustments and final tightening.

Really pleased with the fit and finish. The winch fits nice and snug, tucked in behind the bumper. I did add a Rock Hard front license plate mount - Colorado being a nanny state, you know...

~Still~ waiting on the backordered paint, then I can install the rear tire carrier upgrade.

This is looking very well put together. It has a nice fluid look to it, almost like you picked it up from the factory like that! Keep it up

It's been a helluva lot of fun poring over all of the options available out there. I've had this thing in my mind for quite some time. And then having it all come together is really satisfying.

What did Hannibal used to say? "I love it when a plan comes together!" Yeah, that's it.

Thanks, Nate.

Yessiree!

I love the new lines, too. We had decided early on to stay with the OE fenders. The integration with the AEV bumpers really hits the mark.

And LED's are on the horizon.

Good call, and they work really well with your lift height. I like how you are keeping the overall design in mind...your Jeep looks capable and well built. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Steven,

After having 'wheeled Seej for so many years (and he was no slouch), I am really looking forward to the longer travel / articulation that this suspension design offers.

The creature comforts of the JK ain't bad, either...

Have checked the "full stuff" clearance on your setup yet? You definitely don't want to get caught on the trail only to find that out.

Yeah, very good point. Something that does need to be verified.

I've got full pucks front and rear for now - better safe than sorry. As you know, the rears are super simple to adjust, the fronts are pretty easy, too - just a tad fiddly with the wrench. Either end can easily be changed in the field.

My jack won't tell me much, and I've not taken it anywhere to really stretch it's legs - so to speak.

The other thing I still have to do is install the front shock relocation brackets. MC says they would interfere with the stock rims, and I wasn't running spacers while waiting for the new wheels - so I didn't put them in yet. I'll knock those out prior to wrapping him up.

Heck, I've only got about 350 miles on the odo... haha

love the look, always a fan of the AEV bumpers i think you need the factor 55 flatlink to clean the look of that bumper. Now show us the light !

Thanks Fernando!

Are you looking at my wishlist? haha. The FlatLink is in the plan.

I got a deal on an Epic Hook (which is a great piece), and was hoping it would lay well on the fairlead. Nope. So out came the shackle. But it's only temporary.

I wanted to go with the ProLink, but since I need a front plate, that was out. So a FlatLink it'll be!

Whoa, page three!

Time to let the light shine on...

Still waiting on paint so I can complete Phase One (suspension, wheels, tires, bumpers, winch...), the only thing left is the spare tire carrier. Soon, Grasshopper...

So, it's time to get crackin' on Phase two. The Light.

We chose to go with the Switch Pros switch unit, along with the Driver's Side A-Pillar panel mount location. The switch unit is small, so it fits nice and tidy behind the battery. It also comes with built-in bluetooth, so you can program and control all circuits right from your phone if you want. Pretty cool.

Here's the panel mounted up. I've only got two circuits wired currently, but have laid out some future plans.

We decided to go with the Rigid DSS-Pro Side Shooters in the Driving Light configuration.

I got so into the install of these, I didn't get any pictures. Sorry about that.

And for the 'pièce de résistance' we picked up a pair of ARB 21 LED Intensity lights in their Spot configuration. There's got to be a Rigid connection with these lights, as the parts bags had Rigid written on them.

Wanting to minimize color on the Jeep, the red had to go.

Really pleased with how it all turned out. The long throw of the ARBs, combined with the wide fill of the Rigids really make for great visibility.

These lights are 'Stoopid Bright'!

New lights look great! You're right, Rigid co-developed the 21's for ARB. They are made in the USA as well I believe. Keep up the great work

stunning shot ! and great pick on the lights, simple is good! and im a fan of the round lights, i think they look better on a jeep than the light bars.

Thanks Steven.

We looked for round lights up front in a black finish, not much out there. Too bad ARB doesn't offer their trim rings in any optional colors. Painting them was an easy alternative, though.

Thank you Fernando,

I agree, round lights up front are so.. 'right'. And tucking the little cubes at the base of the windshield is pretty subtle.

Together they sure do throw some light.

Not sure why we don't see much love for the Switch Pro. So far, I'm super pleased with it. Looks to be a quality product. I guess time will tell.
