I did covered the word "wrangler" with clear coat to look is part of the paint, I didn't finished yet because I need to paint the half doors and install new bumpers. Also after I painted I had to wait a few months (that's what I read on the net) to polish but the wind didn't like my tent and flew away with it and I never polished

Wow! The restoration is looking great. Any plans to lift it or anything like that? Winch lockers, etc? Where are ya going with this build?

nice.

I would like to paint mine. What did that involve? Did you sand it down to primer ? What kind of sprayer? Or where did you find info?

Thanks, I plan to install a winch and 2 extra lights in the front, I also may lift but will look better if I buy bigger tires but with a 2.5 engine I?m not sure if is a good idea.

Sanding took me more time than painting and I did primer and used a 2 stage painting, I did buy the paint and primer from Eastwood, if you never painted then watch YouTube videos and read what the professionals say, I think I watched 100's of videos. I didn't sand all the way so that?s why I got the primer and paint from the same place and the primer should block anything (chemicals) from the old paint, or at least that's what the salesman told me lol
The sprayer was from Lowes and cost me around $60

Probably no bigger than 31s and properly gear it, 3.73?

I need to find out here on this forum which tires they use with a 2.5L, when I bought the Jeep I should looked for a 4.0L but now is a bit too late.

With the 2.5 you should have 4:10 gears in the axles and you can run 31" tires with no problem with a small lift. Anything over that you probably want to look at re gearing so you don't lose the ability to drive on the freeway..

Thanks, looking for tires but at same time I feel guilty when the ones on the jeep are in great shape, I may wait another year

Installed the rear bumper Saturday but yesterday rained all day and I'm guessing the winter is probably coming soon or later. The weather is a bit weird normally at this time of the year my heating would be on and I turned off my air conditioner last week which is normal in New Jersey we turn off the air and a few days later we turn the heater on but not this year.

The snow we got the other day is still here, and they're taking more to come. This may stick around till spring, April/May, time will tell... Not digging these 30s for highs which is below normal even for us....

snow in New Jersey sucks - south Jersey, about 30 years ago we used to have snow and would stick for weeks, now a bit of snow and then rain and even if snows more than 6 inches a few days later nothing on the ground.
