Engine Swap! Where to start

Hey Guys! Im looking to engine swap my YJ. It has a 2.5L/Ax5 in it right now. I have a ax15. Im trying to figure out which engines mount directly to the Ax15 other then the 4.0L and 4.2L. Not sure if im looking to add so much power that i need new axles. But somthing that has some balls. But then again i am open to all ideas. I just cant find a website that gives me good details on which motors mount up to the Ax15.

Not sure of much else that won't need adapters, but the best method of an engine swap is usually to use the original transmission for the motor you are using. Novak has a lot of info on their site, plus a lot of pricey adapters.

Other then Jeeps with 4.0 or 4.2 it was used in Dodge Dakota's from 1992 to 1999, Isuzu Troopers from 1998 to 2002. There is also a close variation used in the Toyota Supra not sure which year. If you have a Jeep version you'll need a bell housing or adapter for any thing else.
